My Client is looking to build its Carbon Advisory business by adding an Analyst to its UK office in London. The Advisory department delivers projects from long term modelling and policy impact assessment through high-level / market entry strategy to transaction support (due diligence, valuations, negotiation support etc). Our clients range from sovereign and intergovernmental institutions, IFIs, sovereign wealth funds etc to financial institutions, utilities, dedicated project developers etc.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
• Support other analysts in selling and delivering advisory projects
• Focus on project finance and/or transaction support in project mechanisms, CDM and JI etc
• Develop and maintain own network of contacts in London and internationally
• Price discovery in flex mex markets
• Speak at conferences etc
• Arrange and attend client meetings
Qualifications
• Higher education in engineering, finance, business
• Minimum of 1 year experience in project-based flexible mechanisms
• Strong understanding of CDM/JI, methodologies etc
• Experience of any of the following, all in CDM/JI: project screening, asset valuation, due diligence and/or project finance experience
• Good working knowledge of analytical tools such as Excel, etc.

• Mother tongue / fluent English
• Counterparty or client-facing experience
• Business development, project management experience
• Own network of contacts a plus
